About
Black wheat flour is derived from the black wheat plant. Ours is 100% Organic, low in gluten, and rich in anthocyanin, which is a type of antioxidant with anti-inflammatory properties. Black wheat flour is much healthier than white wheat flour since it is nutrient-rich plus contains numerous health benefits. The flour gets its hue from the antioxidant 'anthocyanin', which gives fruits and vegetables their black, blue, red or purple colour. It is a much healthier flour compared to white wheat (regular) flour since white wheat has a 5 ppm (parts-per-million) concentration of anthocyanin, but black wheat has approximately 100-200ppm of anthocyanin!
